Jesus calls us to shine His light in our community, and our Local Outreach Ministry is committed to doing exactly that. We serve our neighbors with compassion, generosity, and a desire to reflect the heart of Christ.

What We Do:
Our Local Outreach mission is to overcome local hunger.
We are starting small, and we will fund meals through Community Partnership. Through our contributions and volunteer support, this ministry is based on Jesus feeding the 5,000 in the Gospel of John chapter 6.
In this Bible passage we see another example where God intentionally created a situation where victory could only be attributed to divine intervention, not human strength or numbers. The miracle was that Jesus chose to use something seemingly inadequate as His starting point.

We are that starting point in our Olney community; our Hope is Here ministry to overcome hunger will ensure resources and our love are there for our neighbors who are in need.

Why It Matters: These efforts though small, reflect Jesus. Hope becomes visible when God’s people serve. Through these simple acts of kindness, we open doors for conversations, relationships, and opportunities to share the love of Jesus.

Who It Serves:
Anyone in our community who needs help, hope, or a reminder that God sees them.
